Craig Mackinlay, Conservative Party MP for South Thanet, revealed he was hours away from death after being struck down with sepsis.
In the GB News documentary The Bionic MP, the 57-year-old explained he had been taken to hospital in September and “placed into an induced coma with multiple organ failures” due to the life-threatening reaction.
His wife, Kati Mackinlay, emotionally opened up about the tumultuous period for her family, fighting back tears as she recalled doctors giving him a five per cent chance of survival.
