Sky News reporter escorted out of Sunak’s election campaign launch by security

A SkyNews broadcast crew has been removed from the launch of the Conservatives election campaign by security.

Broadcaster Darren McCaffrey and his crew were escorted from the ExCel Centre in London by two security guards before the Prime Minister gave his speech to mark the launch.

The correspondent claimed they had not been allowed in due to broadcast pooling arrangements, meaning other broadcasters present must share footage with other media.

Outside the event Mr McCaffrey and the crew, who claimed they had been invited to it, were followed by security guards as they walked around the exterior of the ExCel centre.

A Sky producer, cameraman and Mr McCaffery, were seen waiting patiently as everyone filed out of the Excel after the speech.
