Bodies of two women found in Nottingham as police launch probe into deaths – 'Undiscovered for some time'

The “undiscovered” bodies of two women have been found inside a property in Nottingham, police have said.

Officers were called at 11.04am yesterday to Hartley Road in Radford after concerns were raised over the welfare of the people living inside.

In the property, police discovered the two bodies, which they said they thought “had lain undiscovered for some time”.

Authorities are still at the property in South-West Nottingham this morning, after police, a private ambulance, and forensics teams were seen arriving yesterday.

It is understood that a mother and her teenage daughter have been living at the address, according to NottinghamshireLive, while a neighbour said the property’s windows had been open since February.

Nottinghamshire Police’s Det Ch Insp Ruby Burrow said police did not believe there was any immediate risk to the public.

She added: “We are keeping an open mind into what has happened at this address and will be working hard over the next few days to establish how and when these two women lost their lives.

“In the meantime my thoughts – and those of every other officer involved in this investigation – are with those who have died, their family and friends.”
